Indiana Shakespeare Festival
February - See performances, films, workshops, behind the scenes rehearsals. Audience involvement in stage fighting plus much more. - John Waldron Arts Center

Big Red Beer Festival
April - Over 30 microbrewers offer samples, food, music, beer lectures and more - Convention Center.

Crappiethon U.S.A.
April - June - Sixty-day tagged fishing tournament featuring over 2,000 fish tagged for prizes and money ranging from $25 - $50,000. Stop by any bait shop for details and your "Bounty Badge" - Lake Monroe.

Little 500
April - Made famous by the movie "Breaking Away," this competitive event features some of Indiana University's best cyclists - Armstrong Stadium, Indiana University.

Gus Macker
April -This 3-on-3 basketball event features over 1,000 teams competing in several divisions - Memorial Stadium parking lot, Indiana University.

Bloomington Early Music Festival
May - As part of the nationall acclaimed IU Jacobs School of Music, the festival presents music and instruments of the 17th century with performances all weekend. The program is diverse music in an intimate setting.

Women's Music Festival
June - Celebrate with some of the most talented women in today's music - Indiana University.

Taste of Bloomington
June - Food fair featuring 30 - 35 local restaurants, music - Downtown Bloomington.

Art Fair on the Square
June - Previously a two-day fair, this annual event takes place in conjunction with Taste of Bloomington -Courthouse Lawn, Downtown Bloomington.

Bloomington Garden Walk
June - Features five residential gardens that have been selected to represent the many aspects of gardening. Includes Hilltop Gardens where more than 50 varieties of perennials bloom. Gardens change year to year.

NCAA Track & Field Championships
June 1997 - If you enjoy track and field this is the best of the best in college sports. See great athletes from around the country compete at the Billy Hayes Track. Tickets available through the IU Ticket office.

Picnic with the Pops
July 4th - Celebrate great music, food and fireworks -Armstrong Stadium.

Hoosierfest
September - Local music, food, bike race, mini-grand prix car race - Downtown Bloomington.

Fourth Street Festival of the Arts
September - Over 80 artists featuring pottery. art, weaving - Fourth Street between Dunn and Lincoln Streets.

Monroe County Fall Festival
September - Games, music, regional entertainment, parade - Downtown Ellettsville.

Third & High Festival of the Arts
September - Music, crafts, children's games, silent auction - St. Charles Catholic Church.

Lotus World Music Festival
October - Music from around the world is highlighted in several venues throughout the downtown. A world market place -Throughout downtown Bloomington.

Hilly Hundred
October - A two day bicycle tour through the scenic hills of southern Indiana.

Canopy of Lights
November - Santa lights the downtown in a magic land of holiday lights, horse drawn carriages, music and shopping at the myriad of locally-owned specialty shops surrounding the square - Downtown Bloomington.

Chimes of Christmas
December - Classical music and beautiful voices help celebrate the season - Indiana University.

Madrigal Dinner
December - Enjoy the holidays in the days of merry old England with celebration of food, music and mime - Indiana University.

Nutcracker
December - Bring the entire family to this holiday classic of dance and music - Indiana University.
